On February 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the projects on housing stock and heating management, as well as on the improvement of mahallas, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The pilot project for maintaining a multi-apartment housing stock by utility management companies has been implementing since 2020. It has shown positive results in dealing with overdue utility bills and other problems. Moreover, the utility management companies have launched more than 20 new services.
The President instructed to continue to develop the housing stock management system. The benefits, including tax exemptions and loans up to 90 billion soums, will be provided to the successful utility management companies.
President Mirziyoyev reviewed the projects for modernizing the heating system. These projects provide for the renewal of the material and technical base of 10 boiler houses, construction of 2 boiler houses and reconstruction of 120 kilometres of heat networks.
The report on the measures taken to improve mahallas, including tree planting, construction of children’s and sports grounds, reconstruction and construction of roads and sidewalks, was presented to the leader of Uzbekistan.
