On February 15, Minister of Economy and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda met with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme Lenni Montiel in Dushanbe. The interlocutors discussed the main aspects of the implementation of the UNDP Country Development Document, the press office of the Ministry reported.
Zavkizoda congratulated the distinguished guest on his appointment and wished him every success in his work.
The interlocutors discussed the medium-term development programme for 2021-2025, the national social and economic development programme and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Gaols.
They agreed that the UNDP Country Development Document should focus on sustainable development, strategic goals and the potential of a green economy and a digital economy.
Zavkizoda and Montiel also talked about the upcoming meeting of the National Development Council under the President of Tajikistan and the Tajikistan Development Forum.
