On February 14, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a telegram to Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee (Russian transnational energy corporation). He congratulated the businessman on his anniversary. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov noted that Gazprom is a long-standing and important partner of Turkmenistan in the gas sector. He underlined the significant contribution of the head of the energy company to the expansion of the relevant cooperation.
According to the Turkmen leader, over many years of cooperation, the authorities of the Central Asian country and representatives of Gazprom have achieved an effective partnership model based on the principles of mutual benefit and trust.
The President congratulated the businessman on his 60th birthday and on receiving the title of Hero of Labor of Russia.
On the same day, Berdimuhammedov sent a telegram to Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counsellor of Tatarstan. The head of the state congratulated the official on his 85th birthday.
