Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan invites Iranian businesses to invest in a number of projects

Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Kyrgyz Republic Turdakun Sydykov held the Day of the Kyrgyz Economy: Trade, Economic and Investment Opportunities in Karaj in Iran. He invited Iranian businesses to invest in a number of projects, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported to CentralAsia.news on February 14.

The Ambassador presented over 50 investment projects in such sectors as hydropower, industry, infrastructure, agriculture and tourism, focusing on the investment climate in the country and mechanisms to protect foreign investors.

The Iranian businessmen expressed keen interest in the liberal legislation of Kyrgyzstan and highly evaluated the tax and foreign exchange regimes.

The diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic organised the event in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Alborz Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Earlier, Iran showed interest in the investment projects of hydroelectric power stations in Kyrgyzstan.
