On February 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing with the participation of representatives of the MFA, embassies, and international structures. The event was dedicated to discussion of the results of the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty (People’s Council). It was reported by the press office of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
Rashid Meredov, the head of the diplomatic department, noted that the foreign policy of country is based on the principles of neutrality, good neighborliness and the desire to maintain global peace.
The minister drew attention to a «very important part» of the speech of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who pointed out the importance of involving young people in the work of the state administration and announced plans to use his political and life experience to do the job as the head of the Halk Maslakhaty.
As part of the briefing, the emphasis was placed on the importance of the national program for the social and economic development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052. It was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a parliamentary meeting.
