President of Kazakhstan visits KAMAZ plant

On February 11, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the industrial site of Russia’s largest automobile holding KAMAZ during his working trip to Naberezhnye Chelny in Tatarstan, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

The distinguished visitor was informed that the company rightfully ranks among the top 20 truck manufacturers in the world. More than 70,000 trucks roll off KAMAZ conveyors a year. The top managers of the corporation noted that they viewed Kazakhstan as a major consumer. In 2020, the share of KAMAZ in the Kazakhstan market of heavy trucks reached 42%.

As was reported, during the talks with Chairman of the RF Government Mikhail Mishustin the President of Kazakhstan noted that that a number of large-scale projects with KAMAZ were being implemented in Kazakhstan. The representatives of the company said the automotive parts manufacturing facilities would be put into operation in Kazakhstan soon.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev talked to the young people from Kazakhstan who were undergoing an internship at the KAMAZ plant. Their training session will last two months, then they will use their new knowledge and skills at the new plant in Kostanay. The leader of Kazakhstan wished the young people every success in their important work.
