Lukoil receives new contracts for subsoil use in Kazakhstan

On February 2, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with President and CEO of Lukoil PJSC Vagit Alekperov who reported on the activities of the oil company in Kazakhstan, the press office of Akorda reported.

The top manager of the Russian company informed the President about the work done and further prospects for implementing joint projects in the hydrocarbon sector.

Vagit Alekperov dwelt on the progress of work within the partnerships between the KazMunayGas National Company and Lukoil PJSC. Currently, the companies are developing the Kazakhstan section of the Caspian Sea. The projects for subsoil use have been signed and the Zhenis and Al-Farabi projects have been launched.

Vagit Alekperov said his company was a strategic partner in the development of the Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar offshore oil deltas. The President of Kazakhstan highlighted the need to involve the domestic companies and labour resources to perform subcontracting services and works.
