On January 31, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea Dinara Kemelova participated in the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan-Korea diplomatic relations, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In her welcoming speech, Kemelova highly evaluated the level of relations achieved by the two countries over a period of 30 years.
She said the two countries had been fostering a political dialogue through the exchange of visits at the top and high levels and signed more than 50 bilateral agreements during this period and there was great potential to expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
The bilateral trade turnover hit a record high of US$ 110 million in 2021.
Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Republic of Korea Yeo Seung Bae expressed the hope that development cooperation between the two countries would serve as an important milestone to improve the quality of life of the people of Kyrgyzstan and expand economic cooperation in the future.
