Kyrgyzstan calls for unimpeded passenger movement across Kazakhstan

On January 10, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov attended an online extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. He expressed once again his deepest condolences to the Kazakh side on the deaths of its citizens and wished a speedy recovery to the victims, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“We are sincerely looking forward to the soonest stabilisation of the situation and the restoration of peace and order in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the Chairman of the Government of Kyrgyzstan said.

Japarov focused on possible deterioration of the socio-economic situation due to instability and spike in violent offences in the neighbouring country.

In this regard, he recommended that the unimpeded movement of passengers and goods be ensured to maintain social and economic development and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister also noted that if necessary and upon the request of the Kazakh side, Kyrgyzstan was ready to provide all possible assistance to the people of Kazakhstan, based on the strong kinship of the two fraternal peoples.
