On January 11, Director of the Department of Information Support at the Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan Zubaidullo Davlatov spotlighted a number of actions that the authorities of Taikistan should take against the background of the events in Kazakhstan in his interview with the Khovar News Agency. He said major actions should be implemented in the spheres of politics, economy, security and media.
According to the expert, Dushanbe should enhance the open-door policy to prevent the world powers from rising too high in Tajikistan’s foreign policy, as well as strengthen border controls to prevent the entry of extremists and extremist materials in the country.
Davlatov said one of the major steps was to build up strong economic relations with Kyrgyzstan.
Tajikistan also should prevent extremists from partnering with domestic and foreign terrorists. In this regard, the expert focused on young people without sufficient life experience who could become victims of dangerous propaganda.
Tajikistan should allocate financial resources to equip the information sector with advanced technologies, Davlatov concluded.
