Kyrgyzstan intends to establish direct trade relations with three states

On December 23, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation Olivier Bangerter, Ambassador of Mongolia Gankhuyag Sodnom and Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Latif Seyfaddin oglu Gandilov. The leader of Kyrgyzstan received the letters of credence from the newly appointed ambassadors to Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The guard of honour greeted the heads of foreign diplomatic missions before the ceremony.

The meetings with each ambassador focused on enhancing bilateral contacts, strengthening political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and increasing bilateral trade.

Japarov emphasised that the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan included the protection of the interests of foreign investors, noting that the authorities of the country were working actively towards improving the investment climate.

The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation said his country and Kyrgyzstan have much in common, noting that Switzerland is ready to deepen cooperation and allocate US$ 22 million for development programmes in Kyrgyzstan.
