Russia allocates US$ 2 million to Tajikistan for youth projects

The Government of the Russian Federation has allocated US$2 million to support innovation projects of young citizens in Tajikistan. The project envisages creating 350 new jobs. It will be launched in January next year, the Sputnik Tajikistan News Agency reported on December 22.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Dushanbe Igor Lyakin-Frolov made this statement. He emphasised that the funds would be used to develop professional skills and foster the innovative potential of young citizens.

The Russian Federation jointly with the United Nations Development Programme will create new jobs, which will the labour market needs. For the most part, financial support will provided to boys and girls residing in the regions of the Republic.

This year, the US$ 1 million project of the Russian Federation, which has created 250 jobs, is nearing completion.

As was reported, on November 30, the Russian Federation and Tajikistan signed two agreements on the provision of schools in the Republic with Russian teachers and the creation of an enabling operating environment for new Russian-language schools in the country.
