On December 14, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov delivered a congratulatory speech to the best university students from all over the country during the President’s scholarship award ceremony. This year, 80 university students from all over Kyrgyzstan have won a President’s scholarship. The Kyrgyz leader congratulated them on their academic achievements and thanked them for their hard work and perseverance, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
“It is gratifying that you are receiving education at the major higher educational institutions of our country and provide examples for other young people, having won a President’s scholarship. I think I will not overemphasise, declaring: undoubtedly, you are the best students in Kyrgyzstan,” Japarov said.
He also said the Government was working towards strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions, developing new training programmes in line with modern requirements, improving vocational education and training and increasing teacher salaries.
The President noted that special attention should be paid to such an important aspect as learning as many foreign languages as possible.
