Tajikistan introduces blended learning

On December 9-10, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Academy of Education and the Institute for Education Development discussed the introduction of blended learning in the Republic. They considered the advantages and disadvantages of such learning, the Khovar State News Agency reported on December 11.

The participants drew attention to the concept of blended learning, focusing on its difference from online learning and e-learning, based solely on the use of digital educational platforms.

The emphasis was placed on the most effective teaching models of blended learning. The discussion also focused on the sequence and alternation of the phases of traditional learning and e-learning.

In mid-July, Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan Mahmadyusuf Imomzoda said the Ministry was ready to transfer schools to distance learning. For this purpose, TV programs and 1000 video lessons were prepared. CDs with lessons were distributed among educational institutions. After the epidemiological situation in the country had improved, this issue was taken off the agenda of the government meetings.
