Tokayev and Japarov agree to further multifaceted cooperation

On December 6, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev talked to President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. The Kazakh leader congratulated his counterpart on his birthday and discussed key areas of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.

The leader of Kazakhstan wished good health, prosperity and every success in his important state and international activities to the leader of the neighbouring country.

Positively evaluating the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expressed belief that the new Parliament would continue to work effectively towards achieving sustainable development and enhancing Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan relations based on friendship, good-neighbourliness and alliance.

The leaders of the two states discussed the progress in the implementation of bilateral agreements. In this context, they confirmed readiness to continue to build up trade, economic, financial and humanitarian cooperation.
