Population growth of Kazakhstan amounts to 200,000 this year

Satisfactory population dynamics was recorded in Kazakhstan; the population increased by 202,900 over 10 months of the year, which amounts to 1.07%, the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan reported on December 3.

The statistical survey during the reporting period shows that the leader in the population growth competition is the capital of the country Nur-Sultan, where the population grew by 3.75%, Shymkent ranks second – 3.04%, Mangistau Region – 2.39%, Almaty –1.97% and Atyrau Region – 1.4%.

On October 1, the population of the main city stopped at 1.229 million people, Almaty – 2.016 people and Shymkent – 1.107 million people.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the population grew in 11 out of 17 regions over 10 months. Unfortunately, the population in 6 of them did not grow.

It was reported that natural population decrease, when number of deaths exceeds the number of births, was recorded in Kostanay and North Kazakhstan Regions. It was noted that migration outflow continued in most regions.
