The solemn forum “Emomali Rahmon – the beloved leader of the Tajik people and the founder of the world” took place at the initiative of the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office at the National Library in the capital of Tajikistan to mark the President’s Day, the press office of the Mayor’s Office reported on November 15.
The participants visited the Museum of New Works of the Leader of the Nation that features the books on the history of the Tajik people and Tajik statehood and the works created by Rahmon over the past 30 years.
First Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Amirhon Kurbonzoda conveyed a congratulations message on the President's Day from Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.
The participants in the event noted that since his assumption of office, Rahmon had been selflessly serving to save the Tajik people and extinguished the flame of the civil war, built a new society, restored the paralyzed power structure, created the national army and ensured border security.
The officials emphasised that the activity of the President of Tajikistan during 30 years of independence was a unique school and a great lesson in statehood.
