On November 15, Chairman of the Committee of the Senate on Agrarian, Water Management and Environmental Issues Bakhodir Tadjiev held a meeting with deputies of the Kengash of People’s Deputies in Khorezm Region, the press office of the Senate reported.
The major issues under discussion included the content and essence of the laws approved at the 20th plenary session of the Oliy Majlis Senate and the implementation of resolutions of the Senate and the Senate Kengash. The participants in the meeting considered some appeals by citizens to the Senate. In this regard, B. Tadjiev recommended that deputies pay more attention to addressing the issues raised by young citizens.
The agenda also focused on the implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy, presented by the President at the joint meeting of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis.
The participants paid particular attention to the ecological problems of the region, the involvement of the private sector to solve these problems, the timely implementation of tree planting and landscaping activities in settlements of the region, as well as the transformation of most of the public parks into green zones providing for prohibition on construction on their territory.
