Documents worth US$ 441 million signed at investment forum in Dushanbe

400 guests from foreign countries, investors, entrepreneurs and development partners attended the International Forum.

On October 14, the international investment forum Dushanbe-Invest-2021 was held in the capital of Tajikistan. About 400 foreign businessmen attended the event. Public sector entities, entrepreneurs and investors signed the documents worth 5 billion somoni (about US$ 441.5 million), the Khovar News Agency reported.

The above agreements are mostly intended to create joint industrial enterprises. 5 panel discussions were held after the forum. They focused on industrialization, digitalization of transport, investments in the energy and tourism sectors and the export of Tajik products.

The B2B meetings and the Tajikistan-2021 international exhibition were held on the sidelines of the forum.

Speaking at the videoconference, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali noted that the forum aimed to improve the investment climate in the Republic and expand cooperation with local and foreign businessmen and investors. He emphasised that through the efforts of President Emomali Rahmon, thousands of new jobs had been created in the country.
