The contest is organized for high school students who are members of the School of Young Diplomats.
The Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan launched a new program for school students. The creative contest «Young Messengers of Peace» will consist of several rounds and will end closer to the middle of next year. It was reported by the «Neutral Turkmenistan» newspaper on October 12.
Young citizens who are currently studying in 9-11 grades and at the same time are members of the School of Young Diplomats under the corresponding institute are allowed to participate in the program.
To get the opportunity to compete for the main prize of the competition — a special cup, school students will first need to write an essay using the offered topics or a topic picked by the writer himself. The main topics are «My dream is to become a diplomat», «Why I want to become a diplomat», «Diplomacy is an instrument of peace», «The history of the Turkmen people is an example of peacekeeping diplomacy».
The first round will start this November. A total of five rounds will be organized. Eight winners will reach the final. All of them will receive prizes, the value of which depends on the place taken.
