Hungary increases budget-funded quotas at universities for Kyrgyz students to 200

Kazakbayev extended an invitation of Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov to Kever to visit Kyrgyzstan.

On October 5, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev had a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszlo Kever during his official visit to Hungary. Kazakbaaev extended an invitation of Toraga of Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov to Kever to visit Kyrgyzstan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Minister told the Speaker about the meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto. As was reported, the parties agreed to increase quotas at Hungarian universities for Kyrgyz students to 200.

Kazakbayev also informed that the Bishkek-headquartered Hungary-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund had started to work.

The Speaker of the National Assembly said the Hungarian side was ready to strengthen strategic partnerships with Kyrgyzstan and welcomed joint events marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary that would take place in 2022.
