Mamin and Khabirov discuss direct flight between Nur-Sultan and Ufa

The current state and opportunities for interaction in deepening Kazakhstan-Russia strategic partnerships were considered.

On September 28, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin met with Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation in the context of further expansion of Kazakhstan-Russia strategic partnerships. The parties also considered the opportunity of opening a direct flight between Nur-Sultan and Ufa, the press office of the Prime Minister reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the two countries had the significant potential for promoting interaction in such areas as trade, economy, investment, transport and logistics, energy, agro-industry and industry, among others. He also noted that trade between the two states increased by 20.2% compared to the same period in 2020 and amounted to about US$ 200 million in the first seven months of the year.

The interlocutors also focused on expanding interregional interaction, as well as cooperation on the efficient use and protection of natural resources of the transboundary Zhaiyk River (Ural).
