Max Wilson noted that his visit to Tajikistan was aimed at establishing cooperation with the Basketball Federation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On September 2, Manager of the National Basketball Association of the United States of America Max Wilson arrived in the capital of Tajikistan for an official visit. He had a meeting with Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Muhammadsho Abdullozoda, the press office of the National Olympic Committee reported.
The NBA Manager said he had arrived in Tajikistan to explore the opportunities for practicing sports and establish cooperation with the Basketball Federation of Tajikistan. He noted that the National Basketball Association had an opportunity to send its experts from the United States to Tajikistan to exchange experience, as well as arrange a trip of Tajik coaches and athletes to the United States.
He emphasised that the NBA could open a basketball academy in the Republic. Wilson and Abdullozoda agreed to prepare the national basketball team for the 2022 Asian Games, which would be held in Hangzhou in September next year.
The Chairman of the National Olympic Committee emphasised that particular attention should be paid to promoting basketball in Tajikistan.
