Nur-Sultan helps Bishkek evacuate 15 citizens from Kabul

According to Tleuberda, Kazakhstan is ready to continue to provide Bishkek with all kinds of assistance in matters that concern citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

On August 18, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic had a telephone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tleuberdy. The Kyrgyz diplomat expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of Kazakhstan for assisting Kyrgyzstan to evacuate 15 citizens from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Tleuberdy said Nur-Sultan was ready to continue to provide Bishkek with all kinds of assistance in matters that concern citizens and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan.

The Ministers exchanged views on key aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan relations and topical issues on the international and regional agenda, taking into account the deteriorating military and political situation in Afghanistan.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan Miroslav Niyazov said some of the citizens who might be threatened by the current situation in Afghanistan were residing temporarily in the Embassy of Kazakhstan. The diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan was expected to organise a charter flight.
