Kyrgyzstan receives over a million doses of Chinese vaccine

According to the information, the vaccine was purchased under the republican budget.

On August 1, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic issued a press release on the arrival of another consignment of 1.25 million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. The vaccine doses were purchased under the republican budget, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

“The Cabinet of Ministers calls on citizens to get vaccinated to protect themselves and people around,” the release says.

The Government reported that 1.1 million doses of the Chinese vaccine were purchased in early July. In total, 2.35 million doses were purchased.

The Cabinet of Ministers expressed gratitude to the Chinese leadership for providing all possible assistance in overcoming the pandemic as well as for help in purchasing the medicines against Covid-19.

As was reported, a consignment of the Kazakh QazVac vaccine arrived in Kyrgyzstan in the form of humanitarian aid and the first batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine was provided through the global COVAX initiative a few days ago.
