Rahmon receives condolences on his sister’s passing

The President of Tajikistan received the telegrams of condolence from the leaders of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and the local officials.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the telegrams of condolence on the passing of his sister Kurbonbi Rahmonova from the leaders of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported on July 22.

The leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev wrote that Kurbonbi was a kind and wise woman who had devoted her life to raising youth. He wrote that he was sharing the pain of this loss with Rahmon and his family and wished them fortitude.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev wrote that he was deeply shocked by the death of the sister of the leader of the Republic of Tajikistan. He wrote that he was asking Allah to bless the soul of Kurbonbi and bestow patience upon Rahmon and his family.

The leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote that he was praying to the Almighty to show mercy to the spirit of the deceased and grant Kurbonbi peace in paradise.

The government members expressed condolences to the President. The Khatlon region administration wrote that everyone loved the sister of the President of Tajikistan, who was a noble mother.

Kurbonbi passed away at the age of 64 on July 20 on the day of Idi Kurbon celebration. The Ministry of Health reported that she had coronavirus and underwent treatment at Clinical Hospital 5 in Dushanbe.
