President authorizes to support exporters with hundreds of millions of dollars

The Export Support Fund will attract funding in the amount of US$ 200 million from commercial banks and foreign financial institutions by the end of the year.

In accordance with the Resolution of President of the Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the state will provide financial support to exporters. In this regard, it is planned to attract funding in the amount of US$ 200 million from the commercial banks of the country and foreign and international financial institutions to the Export Support Fund by the end of this year.

In accordance with the Resolution, the Fund for Reconstruction and Development will give a US$ 100 million loan to the Business and Export Support Fund for 5 years at a rate of 1% per annum to finance export and pre-export related trade activities.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov were entrusted with the implementation of the Resolution.

As was reported, the authorities of Uzbekistan facilitated customs administration and approved a decree that allows buying foreign goods in Uzbekistan and selling them directly to a third state without completing import customs formalities.
