‘Cunning’ doctors with fake vaccination passports detained in Kazakhstan

Such actions are considered not only a corruption activity, but also a threat to human health.

In Kazakhstan, law enforcement officials identified and detained the health workers who had sold fake vaccination documents, the Vlast news source reported on July 9.

The ‘cunning’ health workers got into the hands of law enforcement officials in the capital of the country, Nur-Sultan and Akmola and Almaty Regions.

Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency Marat Akhmetzhanov commented on the situation. He informed that the health workers involved in selling fake vaccination passports had been identified during the investigative operations. They had provided non-vaccinated citizens with the supporting documents and destroyed the vaccine.

It was very frustrating that those who made profit from the most precious thing – the health appeared among the people entrusted with protecting the health of the nation, Akhmetzhanov said. The official added that such actions were considered to be not only a corruption activity, but also a threat to human health. Moreover, budget money goes down the drain.
