Japarov laid a wreath at the monument built in memory of the mother and two brothers of Saparmurat Niyazov, who died during the Ashgabat earthquake in 1948.
The President of Kyrgyzstan attended the opening ceremony of the Kyrgyzstan-Turkmenistan Economic Forum.
Addressing the forum, Japarov highlighted the importance of boosting the tourism potential of the two countries and bilateral interaction in the processing industry, agriculture and infrastructure sector.
