Mirziyoyev and Minnikhanov consider creation of joint industrial park

The importance was highlighted of developing an extensive trade and logistics network to boost bilateral trade in industrial and agricultural products.

On June 16, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with his Tatar counterpart Rustam Minnikhanov and discussed the creation of a joint industrial park. The parties also highlighted the importance of developing an extensive trade and logistics network to boost bilateral trade in industrial and agricultural products, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

The interlocutors focused on the current opportunities to promote joint projects and cooperation programmes in various fields. These include the organisation of high-tech production of chemical and metallurgical products, electrical goods and equipment, building materials, as well as investigative activities, digitalization and innovative solutions.

They also discussed the aspects of cooperation and study of innovation technologies and best international practices in urban planning, management of housing and community services, landscaping, improvement of transport services and infrastructure development.
