Delegations of Uzbekistan and Czech Republic meet

The representative of the Czech Republic noted that the rapid developments in relations between Uzbekistan and EU countries had opened a new period of bilateral partnerships.

First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov had a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Tomas Hanzel. The representative of the Czech Republic noted that the rapid developments in relations between Uzbekistan and EU countries, including Czechia, had opened a new period of bilateral partnerships, the press office of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis reports.

The parties discussed the current state of inter-parliamentary relations of the two states and agreed to promote the exchange of experience between the two parliaments in the fields of lawmaking, monitoring and fact-finding, as well as the activities that would be of particular importance in the near future.

The interlocutors focused on accelerating the ratification of the agreements to further improve partnerships between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, and promote bilateral contacts within inter-parliamentary relations.
