Japarov visits Kumtor mine

It was reported that the Kumtor Gold Company had sold 44,000 ounces of gold in less than a month of temporary external management.

On June 15, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov visited the Kumtor mine to inspect the mining activities after temporary external management had been established. The gold mining factory had sold 44,000 ounces of gold in less than a month of temporary external management, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reports. 

The gross margin is US$ 40 million.

Visiting the quarry, Japarov highlighted the need to comply with safety requirements during mining and quarrying operations.

During the meeting with local employees, the leader of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasised that the factory was working and would continue to work according to schedule and in a normal mode. He called on the labour collective to work diligently for the benefit of the people of the country.

The President informed of the decision to set up the development fund of Naryn Region to be financed by the Kumtor Gold Company CJSC.
