President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the project of the facility within a working trip around Ashgabat.
On June 15, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around Ashgabat. He got acquainted with a project of a hybrid solar-wind power plant on the territory of Lake «Altyn Asyr». It was reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
The information was provided by the Minister of Energy Charymyrat Purchekov. He noted that the capacity of the corresponding facility would be 10 megawatts. According to him, the project of the power plant was developed by the research and production center of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
The facility will be built within the concept of development of the region of the lake for 2019-2025. Purchekov drew attention to the fact that combined power plant will have high productivity without additional gas consumption and will not harm the environment.
It must be added that the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development will allocate AED 92 million (approximately 25 million dollars) for the construction of the corresponding hybrid power plant. The head of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdi Jepbarov and the general director of ADFD Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi signed the agreement in Abu Dhabi on June 9.
