Mirziyoyev concludes his visit to Tajikistan with visiting agricultural exhibition

Instructions were given to the high-ranking officials of the two countries concerning the mutual supply, storage and export of horticultural products.

On June 11, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon visited an agricultural exhibition of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Vahdati Millat (National Unity) Garden in Gafurov district, Sughd Region. They gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials of the two countries concerning the mutual supply, storage and export of horticultural products, the press office of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reported.

The Vahdati Millat Garden has existed for 12 years, since 2008. It occupies an area of 700 hectares, of which 500 hectares are planted with fruit trees. Fruits are stored in the 300-tonne capacity cold store, located on the territory of the Garden.

Bilateral interactions between the leaders and industry departments, in particular in the agricultural industry, are expanding. The parties have signed a number of partnership agreements in the agricultural sector during high-level meetings. During this visit, they signed the roadmap for boosting agricultural cooperation.

The leader of Uzbekistan concluded his official visit to Tajikistan with visiting the exhibition. His counterpart Emomali Rahmon accompanied Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Khujand international airport.

As was reported, the leaders of the two states signed a number of agreements and attended the opening ceremonies of the school and the medical centre in their countries during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan.
