Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov touched upon the topic at the meeting of the Cabinet.
On June 4, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular government meeting dedicated to the results of the work of economic sectors in January-May this year. The head of the state noted the importance of increasing ice cream production, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
Berdimuhamedov noted that it has to be done due to the hot weather. According to him, the state also needs to take several measures aimed at expanding the production of consumer goods. Special attention was paid to fruit juices.
The corresponding instructions were given to Deputy Prime Minister Chary Gylyjov, who is responsible for the trade sector. The official reported that in January-May this year the growth rate of food production in Turkmenistan amounted to 106,6%.
Berdimuhamedov ordered the Deputy Prime Minister to prepare proposals for expansion of the private sector, in particular small and medium-sized businesses, at the state level.
It must be added that in 2020, over 400 tons of ice cream made by Täze aý were exported to China. Foreign consumers liked the Turkmen delicacy, so this year the company will establish regular supplies to PRC.
