The President of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure fire safety and save electricity in street lighting.
On June 2, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the heads of regional administrations and a meeting of the State Security Council. He instructed officials to take additional measures due to the summer season, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
Berdimuhamedov stressed that high air temperature negatively affect human health. The security officials were instructed to carry out explanatory work among citizens in this direction.
The President also directed to ensure fire safety. According to him, special attention should be paid to monitoring compliance with the corresponding rules in villages, fields, crowded places. He stressed the importance of checking the presence of fire extinguishers, reservoirs and the necessary equipment in the buildings.
Touching upon the wide use of air conditioners and refrigeration appliances, Berdimuhamedov instructed officials to save electricity on street lamps and advertising stands.
It must be added that on May 30, the highest air temperature in the capital of Turkmenistan for the last 130 years was recorded. It reached 45.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Today, June 3, the temperature might reach 47 degrees.
