On June 1, the country will launch the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat railway route.
The Railway Agency of Turkmenistan has fully opened domestic railway communication. Tomorrow, on June 1, passenger transportation from Ashgabat and Turkmenabat to Turkmenbashi and back will be launched, as reported by the press office of the Demiryollary Public Transport Agency.
In addition to the above-mentioned routes, the company will restore railway communication Turkmenabat-Gazojak-Turkmenabat, Turkmenabat-Amuderya-Turkmenabat and Mary-Serhetabat-Mary.
Within the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi-Ashgabat railway, citizens will be able to get to the Avaza national tourist zone. Trains will go along the corresponding direction every day.
Representatives of the railway agency said that the trains would work in accordance with the sanitary and hygienic requirements established by the government.
It must be added that the domestic railway service was suspended in July last year as a part of the fight against the coronavirus infection. A test restoration of the railway route along Ashgabat-Turkmenabat-Ashgabat was realized in March of this year.
