Berdimuhamedov spoke with specialists from the Gas-to-Gasoline Plant in Akhal province.
On May 20, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited a natural gas-to-gasoline plant, which is located in the Akhal province. He personally spoke with experts and discussed the construction of the second stage of the industrial enterprise, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
The director of the plant, Dovrangeldi Sapbaev, thanked Berdimuhamedov for the construction of the corresponding industrial giant. It was underlined that it is the first plant in the world that produces environmentally friendly synthetic gasoline of gas on an industrial scale.
Sapbayev said that every day the plant produces about 1,800 tons of gasoline, which is then supplied to Afghanistan and European countries.
The President also met with several specialists, who told him about the work of the enterprise and the main production processes. The experts emphasized that the fuel produced has almost perfect eco-characteristics.
During a working meeting with the heads of the oil and gas complex Berdimuhamedov said that the fuel and energy resources of Turkmenistan serve for the good of not only local citizens, but also the entire humanity. He also instructed officials to pay attention to the possibilities of establishing widespread production of hydrogen, which, according to him, is «the fuel of the future».
It must be added that the GTL plant was opened in June 2019. The $ 1.7 billion project was funded by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
