On 13 May, Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov held a telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. They discussed the key issues on the bilateral agenda concerning the expansion of bilateral cooperation and congratulated each other and the fraternal peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan on the bright holiday of Orozo-Ait, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors underscored with great satisfaction the high level of friendly relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation. They said the necessary measures would be taken to strengthen partnerships in politics, economy, transport, education and other important fields.
As was reported, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan held a telephone conversation and exchanged views on the ways of settling the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border by political and diplomatic means.
