Uzbekistan and France discuss trade and economic issues

The package of bilateral agreements that will ensure the implementation of large-scale industrial and social projects was prepared.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with Charge d’Affaires of France in Uzbekistan Brice Roquefeuil. The representatives of the two countries discussed the preparations for the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Relations, which would be held in Tashkent on May 11, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade reports.

The package of bilateral agreements that will ensure the implementation of large-scale industrial and social projects was prepared. 

An exchange of views on the current state of multifaceted Uzbekistan-France partnerships, the tasks of fostering it and the issues related to the implementation of joint programmes and initiatives took place during the meeting.

The Intergovernmental Commission will hold the Uzbekistan-France Business Forum jointly with the Movement of the Enterprises of France MEDEF International. Over 50 major companies and banks of France and the ministries, departments and private companies of Uzbekistan are expected to take part in the forum.
