Delegations of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan meet in Fergana

The trilateral interstate business forum “Cross-Border Integration - a Guarantee of Development” took place.

The trilateral interstate business forum took place in Fergana in the framework of the “Cross-Border Integration – a Guarantee to Development” business forum. The conference was attended by the heads of Sughd, Fergana and Batken Regions of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the Khovar News Agency reported.

In his opening remarks, Governor of the Fergana region Khairullo Bozorov greeted the guests and expressed belief that mutually beneficial trilateral cooperation would continue.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Sughd Region Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, Governor of Fergana Region Khairullo Bozorov and Governor of Batken Region Omurbek Suvanaliev called for the enhancement of cultural, economic, and scientific contacts.

Rajabboy Ahmadzoda emphasised that thanks to the policies pursued by the leaders of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, relations among the three neighbouring countries had reached a new stage of development, and the parties were able to use existing opportunities to promote cooperation.

Sughd and Fergana Regions signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Governor of Sughd Region told the journalists that hundreds of new enterprises had been created in Tajikistan during the years of independence. Production is increasing with every passing year, and there are many prospects for expanding cooperation in agriculture and industry. The business communities of the regions can strengthen interactions to enhance economic contacts, imports and exports.
