The vaccine was delivered in accordance with agreements reached during the visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Moscow.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artyom Novikov took part in the handover ceremony of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. The plane with 20,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine landed at the Manas Airport, the press office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

They were delivered in accordance with agreements reached during the visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Moscow. It is expected that the Republic will receive a million vaccine doses, including 500,000 doses as humanitarian assistance.

The First Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the prompt delivery, despite the large number of orders around the world and the ongoing vaccination campaign in the Russian Federation.

The Minister of Health expressed belief that Russia would increase its vaccine manufacturing capacity by June this year and supply more doses to the Republic following a new schedule within strategic partnerships and on humanitarian grounds.
