Somon Air launches its second flight from Dushanbe to Tashkent

The passenger air carrier will operate two flights a week between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The authorities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to increase the number of Dushanbe-Tashkent-Dushanbe flights. Somon Air will operate two flights a week between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the press office of the passenger air carrier reported on April 21.

The flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays. The ticket costs about 1,783 somoni (about US$ 156).

To be permitted to board, passengers are required to have a certificate of negative PCR-COVID-19 test issued no more than 3 days before their flight departs. PCR-tests must be taken by all air passengers, including 2 years of age or older, travelling to Tashkent, and all air passengers, including 3 years of age or older, travelling to Dushanbe.

Foreign citizens travelling from Tashkent to Dushanbe, except for citizens of Uzbekistan, the UAE, Turkey, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, must have entry permission issued by an authorized government agency of Tajikistan, a visa and the above certificate.

As was reported, regular flights between Dushanbe and Moscow were resumed on April 1.
