The leader of Kazakhstan emphasised that the United States ranked among the major investors in Kazakh economy.
On April 14, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received the newly appointed head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United States of America Yerzhan Ashikbayev, the press office of Akorda reported.
Dwelling on the major areas for building Nur-Sultan-Washington relations, Tokayev highlighted the importance of enhancing the exchange with overseas partners in promising strategic areas.
The leader of Kazakhstan said the United States had been an active investor in a number of sectors of Kazakh economy for many years. Consistent measures are being taken to foster constructive cooperation in the trade, energy, agricultural and high-tech sectors.
The President emphasised that the two states had built a strong legal framework and continued close interactions in the cultural, humanitarian and educational fields. Highlighting all the main aspects, Tokayev instructed that Ashikbayev set the agenda of mutually beneficial cooperation with the President Joseph Biden administration on the spot.
