On April 9, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with PRC Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen. The parties discussed the possibility of resuming flights between the two states and focused on enhancing and intensifying cooperation in the investment, trade and transport sectors, the press office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The parties highlighted the importance of resuming the operation of the border checkpoints Torugart and Irkeshtam.
The Prime Minister noted that the full operation of the border checkpoints would facilitate freight transportation and contribute to expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, which was of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister thanked the diplomat for providing support to promote bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues and expressed readiness to make every effort to strengthen relations and strategic partnerships between Kyrgyzstan and China.
