The issues concerning investment, trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation were discussed.

On April 7, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov held talks with Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov. The parties agreed to implement the project of the Central Asia International Centre for Trade and Economic Partnerships in the border areas of the two states. They discussed the issues concerning investment, trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation, the official web portal of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade reports.

The parties noted vigorous bilateral economic interactions, as well as the untapped significant potential to boost the exchange of goods by eliminating existing barriers to trade between the two states.

The officials emphasised that the implementation of the International Centre project would contribute to building the transport and logistics policy for Uzbekistan- Kazakhstan relations, as well as significantly reduce the temporal and financial costs of delivering the goods from both regions to the world markets. The project will also facilitate interregional industrial cooperation and attract mutual investments to implement join projects.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue to work together towards accelerating the scale up of bilateral investment and trade and economic partnerships.
