Korea to boost investment in Kyrgyzstan

Japarov said the country was taking all possible steps to improve the investment climate.

On April 5, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov had a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug to discuss the approaches to enhancing partnerships in various fields. The guest noted that the Republic of Korea was ready to boost investment in Kyrgyzstan, since the two countries had “common grounds”, including in culture, the press office of President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan emphasised that the country was taking all possible steps to create a favourable investment climate.

For this purpose, the Government is implementing political and socio-economic reforms, including those aimed at providing guarantees to foreign investors, promoting an open economy, trade liberalisation and a supportive taxation framework and stabilising a currency exchange rate regime.

Japarov highlighted the need to further strengthen bilateral contacts and reach a new level of interaction between the two countries and conveyed his greetings to President Moon Jae-in.
