Korean EduLink software application for kindergartens in Uzbekistan

Up to US$ 500,000 will be invested to implement the project.

On March 24, Minister of Preschool Education Agrippina Shin had a meeting with a South Korea delegation led by Kim Chang-keon, Senior Vice Chairman of Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association, the Telegram of the Ministry of Preschool Education reports.

The discussion focused on adopting advanced technologies in preschool education. The guests informed that the Republic of Korea would donate the EduLink software application to Uzbekistan. It is expected to invest up to US$ 500,000 in the project.

The EduLink is a new whole school solution designed for teachers, parents and children to collaborate effectively in a mobile app. It will be customised to meet the needs and requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The mobile app will create additional conditions and opportunities to cover as widely as possible preschool education and teaching foreign languages (English, Korean and Russian) and mathematics with animated films resources to children ages 3 to 7.

The Republic of Korea will support financing the modernisation of multimedia teaching resources and contents on a regular basis.

The app allows uploading video content designed to improve professional skills of preschool teachers.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and agreed on the project timeline. The project starts to take shape with the tentative opening date set for September 1, 2021.

As was reported, on February 9, 2021, the Korean side donated Albert and Genibot educational robots that foster creative thinking and problem-solving skills in children to preschool educational institutions in Uzbekistan.
