President of Turkmenistan opens 6 new greenhouses

The complexes focused on growing vegetables were put into operation in all provinces.

On March 25, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov opened six greenhouse complexes in five provinces. Tomatoes and other types of vegetables will be grown in these greenhouses. The area of the facilities is 35 hectares. It was reported by «Turkmenistan Today».

The complexes were opened in the Kaakhka etrap and the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal province, in Turkmenbashi, in the Gorogly etrap of the Dashoguz province, the Charjou etrap of the Lebap province, and the Sakarchage etrap of the Mary province.

As part of the opening ceremony of the Kaakhka greenhouse, Berdimuhamedov made a speech. He noted that today Turkmenistan is experiencing a tremendous rise in the economic, social, and cultural spheres.

The greenhouses were built by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The complexes can produce 8.75 thousand tons of vegetable products annually. The opening of the facilities will allow creating 400 new jobs.

During the opening ceremony of the greenhouse in the Kaakhka etrap, a large-scale exhibition was organized. Various types of vegetables, fruits, and melons, grains, dairy, meat, confectionery, canned goods, dried fruits, pickles, juices, soft drinks were presented there.

On the occasion of the event, a concert with the participation of art masters from all regions was held.

All heads of the greenhouses on behalf of the president were given tractors produced by the world-famous company John Deere.
