The online forum «Significance of Peace and Trust in Modern World» started with a presentation by a representative of the diplomatic service.
On March 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a press conference «Significance of Peace and Trust in Modern World», dedicated to the development of international media. At the opening ceremony of the forum, a representative of the diplomatic service presented questions and launched a discussion, as reported by the correspondent of CentralAsia.news.
The Chairman of the State News Agency «Turkmenistan Today» Merdan Gazakbayev gave a speech first. He told the conference participants about the ongoing reforms in the country, ongoing investment projects, the events that are held within the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat, as well as the 30th anniversary of the national Independence. At the end of his speech, the director of the news agency thanked his foreign colleagues for their assistance in spreading information that demonstrates life in Turkmenistan.
After Gazakbayev’s speech, the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, Chairman of the Interstate TV and Radio Company «Mir», Deputy Director-General of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company», as well as representatives of large broadcasting organizations of Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, India, and other countries gave a speech.
The participants of the event fully supported the initiative of the Turkmen state and expressed interest in expanding cooperation.
